Hole 1: The Island, Woll Golf Course

Now the Woll Burn comes into play.  This hole is a tricky dogleg.  Most golfers think it looks innocent enough but is deceptive.  (A burn is the Scottish word for a stream)  New for 2008 sees a green side bunker which will catch any shot heading short left. 

Tip:  Your first shot has to lay up close to the left side of the fairway to give you an easier shot in to the green.
